Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed people can change the world, indeed it is the only thing that ever has. This quote by Margaret Mead has been the bedrock of our philosophy for the RIGHT every WRONG movement. Karmaveer Puraskaar is the fellowship and award, within the RIGHT every WRONG movement, to recognize the citizen action for social justice of the people who believe in being and leading the change. Over the years, the RIGHT every WRONG movement has become a powerful movement and issues that we have discussed are the benchmarks for various forums across the globe. The ideas and thoughts we have created have also triggered large movements and some of our NOBLE LAUREATES over the years have now become ambassadors for global issues.
From the beginning of the RIGHT every WRONG movement we tried to make the movement inclusive and involved various sectors, organisations and citizens working in these organisations & sectors as our partners, as we truly believe that if citizens are not apathetic and become proactively responsible to address issues related to social justice then "together as ONE we can RIGHT every WRONG". Thus we involved various people as our thought leaders and advisers over the years in our governance & managing committee. What is worth noting is that all these people, besides being leaders and achievers in their respective businesses or professions, have also had the resolve to devote time, attention and get involved with social causes be it children, communities, animals or environment
Every year we choose a theme for the RIGHT every WRONG conclave, that is the knowledge forum pillar of the movement, to churn knowledge related to socio- political issues. In the first curtain raiser year (2006-07) we had various issues that affect us as citizens and a population ,as themes and thus we partnered with Population First for the first conclave and had members from iCONGO and PF as the founding governing council members for the RIGHT every WRONG movement. In subsequent years we have led 2 forums (2007-08 & 2008-09) on climate change and electoral reforms with WOTR and NNFI as our pivotal partners. So every year, along with the partner organisation for that year and the co-promoters, we form the governance & managing committee. Over the years we have had some eminent and some concerned citizens including students who have served on the council. The various people who are now our mentors and co-founders in the movement are as given below.
